HOLY WEEK | DAY 7: THE TOMB, WAITING AND TRUST
After the crucifixion, Jesus was taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb.
Scripture states: “Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid.” (Luke 23:53)
From a human perspective, the situation seemed final:
- Jesus is dead
- The body is buried
- The tomb is sealed
No visible movement. However, this moment is not the end. It is a phase between what has been accomplished and what is about to be revealed.
This day establishes a clear principle:
- God's action is not always immediately visible
- Fulfillment does not always instantly follow obedience
The tomb represents a phase where:
- The result is not yet visible
- The process is ongoing
- Trust must remain without confirmation
The question is practical: Are you able to remain steady when nothing seems to be moving?
Because the absence of visible change does not mean that nothing is happening.
Jesus is Lord!
