HOLY WEEK | DAY 2: When Jesus purifies what we tolerate
Jesus entered the Temple and found what should never have been there.
“So he made a whip…and drove them all out of the temple… ‘Take these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.’ ” (John 2:15–16)
The place of prayer had become a place of compromise. What was consecrated to God had been filled with what serves man.
And Jesus did not tolerate it. He confronted it.
Day 2 of Holy Week (Monday) reveals a truth:
Jesus does not remain where we tolerate what He came to remove.
He is not just Savior. He is Lord of what is in the temple.
And today, the temple is no longer made of stones. It is our life. It is our whole being.
- What have you allowed in that He wants to purify?
- What have you normalized that He calls impure?
- What needs to be overturned for His presence to remain?
God is raising up a people who do not negotiate with compromise, but who fully surrender to purification.
Do not resist His work. It is the path to His presence.
Jesus is Lord.
