5. PENTECÔTE | DE LA RÉSURRECTION À L’ÉTABLISSEMENT DE L’ÉGLISE

5. PENTECOST | FROM THE RESURRECTION TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHURCH

After days of waiting and prayer, the promise announced by Jesus is finally fulfilled.

The Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples gathered in Jerusalem.

Scripture declares: "They were all filled with the Holy Spirit..." (Acts 2:4)

Pentecost marks a decisive turning point:

The Church is no longer simply a community of disciples waiting. It becomes a people sent, made capable of bearing powerful witness.

What Jesus had announced then began to manifest publicly.

▪️The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in believers
▪️The Gospel begins to be proclaimed with authority
▪️The Church enters into its mission

Pentecost reveals an essential reality:

God does not entrust His mission without also giving the necessary power to accomplish it.

The disciples who were previously in fear now become public witnesses of Jesus Christ.

KEY PRINCIPLE

The Holy Spirit was not given for a fleeting experience, but to form, lead, and strengthen the Church.

QUESTION

Does your life reflect more of your own abilities, or dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit?

DECLARATION

The Holy Spirit still equips God's people today to accomplish the mission of Jesus Christ.

Jesus is Lord!
