1. THE APPEARANCES | FROM THE RESURRECTION TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHURCH
After his resurrection, Jesus did not immediately disappear. He appeared to his disciples multiple times over a period of forty days.
These appearances were not symbolic. They were physical, visible, and intentional.
Scripture states: "Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, 'Peace be with you.'" (Luke 24:36)
This period had a clear objective:
- To confirm that he had truly risen
- To dispel doubt and establish certainty among the disciples
Jesus allowed them to see him, hear him, and understand that the resurrection was real. He was present.
These encounters transformed the disciples:
- Fear was replaced by conviction
- Confusion was replaced by clarity
This is the foundation of what comes next. The Church is not built on ideas. It is built on witnesses.
KEY PRINCIPLE
Faith is not based on assumptions. It is based on what God has revealed and confirmed.
